Please include your device type, operating-system version, app version, and a short description of the problem you are seeing.

First-step troubleshooting

  • Make sure your phone has an internet connection.
  • Reopen YayMow and pull down on Today, Timeline, or Forecast to refresh the latest guidance.
  • Check whether location permission is allowed for the app.
  • Check whether device location services are turned on.
  • Confirm the issue is still happening after reopening the app.

If location is unavailable

YayMow uses foreground location access to prepare local mowing guidance. If location permission was denied, try the in-app retry option first. If permission was denied permanently, open your device settings and allow location access for YayMow.

If weather is temporarily unavailable

Network issues, location issues, or forecast-service problems can keep weather from updating. If that happens, try the visible Retry action when it appears, or pull down on Today, Timeline, or Forecast to refresh the latest guidance after the connection is stable.

If your device location seems outdated, reopen YayMow and refresh your guidance. If the issue continues, check your device location settings and make sure YayMow has permission to access your location.

Understanding rain and wet grass

YayMow considers more than just the weather forecast when finding a comfortable mowing window. It looks at conditions such as temperature, humidity, rain chances, daylight, and moisture conditions.

Rain can be very localized, especially during summer storms. In some cases, your lawn may receive rain that is not immediately reflected in the weather information available to YayMow.

If your lawn has recently received rain, use your judgment before mowing. Wet grass may need additional drying time before mowing is comfortable and effective.

YayMow continues to improve its understanding of local weather conditions and recent rainfall patterns through future updates.
